While waiting at the doctor’s office yesterday, Mary Smith, one of the stars of the Stop Hearing Loss Bullying video, snapped a photo of this poster, then spread the word about hearing loss and deaf awareness. Mary writes, “I had an awesome experience today. Was at the rehab center for my hands and my battery died in one of my hearing aids. I went to the little shop there and asked if they sold batteries. They suggested I try the hearing center and told me where it was. The woman there was great! I told her about my hearing aids and how I decorated them and showed the Stop Hearing Loss Bullying video. She gave me batteries. I asked for her card and have sent her links to some information. I am so grateful. Very excited to have been able to identify as hard of hearing and an advocate.” Way to spread the word, Mary!
