Mindy Richmond writes, “I lost my hearing in both ears last August, due to multiple sclerosis. The loss happened very quickly. I went through quite a bit of testing and treatment since then, but I am now on the journey back to hearing! I had surgery 1 week ago for my first cochlear implant, and this picture shows the incision. I’ll have the stitches removed on Monday, but I won’t have my external device until June 17th, when they activate it. When I have that I can send you a picture if you’d like!
