The Editor Behind How I Hear: RJ Thesman

I met RJ Thesman, the editor of my new book How I Hear, at a book signing event more than 15 years ago. We had much in common — attending the same church, growing up in Oklahoma, and both of us enjoying the art of writing since we were young girls.

RJ defines her prolific editorial career as, “But whether I’m working in my office, sitting at a traffic light, or observing the intricacies of people, I’m always writing.”

Not new to editing or writing, she is credited with producing 800+ articles, 27 nonfiction books, five novels, 14 anthologies, and was also the editor of my first book Lip Reader. We have collaborated on other projects, such as being co-contributors to a book anthology and praying for each other with our writing and during various seasons of life. As a Certified Life Coach, RJ specializes in “helping writers birth their words.”

Honestly, I cannot say enough positive things about RJ. She is a talented writer, devoted friend, and prayer warrior.

Be sure to check out her website http://rjthesman.net, where you can learn more about her work as a writer, coach, editor, and speaker.
